Grades 6 - 8 for students approximately 11 to 14 years old

District 69's three Middle schools currently enroll approximately 450 students each. These modern facilities provide a safe and enriching school experience that transitions students from Elementary to Secondary school. At the Middle School level, social and cultural opportunities are introduced to student life through leadership, sport, drama and other clubs. Students begin to take a more active role in directing their own course of study by choosing from a number of "elective" courses in the fine and performing arts, technology and applied sciences delivered by specialist teachers. These classes are offered as compliments to core academic subjects where emphasis is placed on developing appropriate study and time management skills that will prepare students for their secondary school studies. Each school offers special ESL or English as a Second Language classes for students requiring additional help to develop their command of the English language.
